The Burbank Women's Self Defense Group was started to provide women a safe place to train self defense without having to enroll in a formal martial arts system. The purpose of the group is to provide it's members with the awareness and skill to handle themselves in an assualt and to examine the choices we have when someone is attempting to take those choices away. Any woman 18 to 65 may join. Husbands, and boyfriends are welcome as well on some nights.

Harmony Aikido is to instill every one of its students with discipline, manners, confidence and strength through the practice of an effective form of martial art that is based on self-defense. The techniques practiced in Harmony Aikido trains its student to control the situation by displacing and using the attacker’s momentum to their advantage. Due to these defensive techniques, Aikido is versatile so students of all ages can benefit and participate.
